Leave the bandage on your tattoo for a minimum of 2 hours. Carefully remove the bandage and apply a heat compress to loosen the skin.
Wash the tattoo with anti-bacterial soap and warm water. DO NOT use a washcloth or anything abrasive – use your hand. Dab the tattoo with a clean towel until it is completely dry. Let the tattoo air out for at least 10 minutes.
Apply a light coat of PETROLEUM JELLY or BEPANTHEN PLUS CREAM to your tattoo 4 to 5 times daily for the first week. For the second week, switch to LUBRIDERM lotion or BEPANTHEN PLUS CREAM, also to be applied 4 to 5 times daily.
DO NOT pick or scratch your tattoo, this could interrupt the healing process and damage the tattoo.
It is okay to get your tattoo wet, however, DO NOT submerge it in water – this means no swimming for at least 2 weeks. Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks. Use sunscreen after it has healed to prevent fading.

There are many ways of taking care of your tattoo. If you have gotten tattooed before, make sure you tell me which method worked the best for you.
Depending on your skin type, I will decide how you should take care of your tattoo. Aftercare is very important.
Sometimes it is best to use lotion. Sometimes, leaving the skin alone provides better results. It all depends on your skin type, which will be determined by me.
